We are planning to spend the 2002 Holiday Season and the month of January in the Mexican bay of Zihuatanejo. This beautiful bay is the home of many cruising boats during the winter season.

On our way south from Mexico, we are considering stops at Puerto Quetzal, Guatemala, Barillas and Bahía del Sol in El Salvador, and some stopping points in Nicaragua. From there, we look forward to visiting some beautiful ports in Costa Rica and the Pacific Coast of Panamá, on the way to the Panamá Canal (see below).

Our options for stops in the Pacific Coast of Costa Rica and Panamá are many. We have to study the cruising guides and discuss the experiences of cruisers whom have preceded us. A lot of this exchange will take place in Zihuatanejo, where the cruisers congregate.
